Article load time a priority at Facebook

The largest social network in the United States announced a new service that will pre-fetch articles and content from large publishers. Facebook’s Instant Articles aims to load stories and content more quickly while using their mobile apps.  The social network estimates the average load time for articles is approximately 8 seconds, this new feature aims to reduce the page load time significantly to help generate a faster, more consistent, user experience. Instant Articles will launch on Facebook for iPhone with a special set of stories published by The New York Times, BuzzFeed, National Geographic, NBC and The Atlantic.
